With reference to the above matter, we are writing a note of thanks and appreciation to all we communicated with concerning the management of our function at the Intercontinental Adelaide, Atrium Lounge on Good Friday 25th March 2016.

The journey was smooth and seamless from start to finish.

From our first contact with Zak Soliman discussing the Engagement and suggestion of The Atrium Lounge being a possibility, then being referred through to  Lauren Vo, and  Cassandra Coggins, discussion with Tony Hart (and yourself), and finally Branden and great staff on the night , it was a pleasure to deal with all.
The night was as wonderful event as planned. Our guests had nothing but praise for the whole evening, way beyond their expectations.

As a cocktail event, the food menu was plentiful and of exceptional quality, “delicious” was the overall feedback.

The beverage package was also considered by all as being comprehensive and well received on the night.

We had many compliments on the beautiful, overall layout of the Atrium Lounge, the decorations, the Service of food and beverage in the Atrium Lounge on the night – being exceptionally well staffed from the bar, within the room and at the Live Station.

The fabulous band supplying entertainment – was appropriate, of great quality, tight, professional and thoroughly entertaining throughout the night , many thanks to Tom from Shine Productions.

Branden did a wonderful job managing the event on the night, never flustered, quickly attending to a couple of small issues during the night and communicated well with us from commencement to official closure of the night.

So once again many thanks for your kind assistance during this time. I am sure we will do it all again.

I know that I was pretty much super organised, but to have Dee’s amazing back up, has made our family wedding a most joyous memorable event. Dee’s skills are so talented. Right from the very first meeting with Dee, both Amy and I hit it off and Dee was able to see in her heart and mind, exactly what we were after.

Hi Emma

Helen and I would like to express our gratitude to you for the assistance you rendered to make last weekend a success for us and the family.   Having been involved (in my earlier life) in arranging large and small functions etc I know the value of detail and a ‘go to’ person.   Your efforts on our behalf assisted to make a couple of ‘oldies’ very happy.

We found all the staff very friendly and helpful from the moment of check in to check out (same person each time – a tall young lad).

The staff in the  Atrium looked after us well in spite of a busy time in the bar; the maitre ‘d, hostess, and chef in Shiki were very welcoming and professional in the approach; your suggestion to use the private dining room for breakfast was a good one – our noisy group did not disturb your other guests – and Jimmy provided excellent service.

We very much appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine in our room and the champagne in Shiki was also welcomed.

Once again, many thanks for your assistance (including laying out the place cards for dinner).

I would like to thank you both for everything you did to make Travis and Fahriya’s wedding day very special.  The wedding was organised in a very quick time and thanks to both of you and your teams for making this day momentous and extremely enjoyable.  The wedding itself went off without a hitch, the food was fantastic, the function area was beautiful and so well organised, the staff were extremely helpful, the guests commented on how nice the food was and what a lovely venue to hold the wedding.  We certainly would recommend the Intercontinental to our friends and family.

The professionalism of all the staff at InterContinental Adelaide is to be commended

Dear Colin McCandless,

In August 2014 we tentatively booked a suite online at InterContinental Adelaide to have our wedding in a special place.

Some time later we visited to see if we could actually view the suite. Front of house staff were most helpful and showed us several suites,and we were able to make a firm decision to go ahead with our plans. Staff asked if there was a special occasion for our booking and we said that we planned to marry there. This lead them to let us know that the hotel was able to help and plan for occasions like this. There and then we were introduced to Christine Rentis who explained how her department would work with us and ball started rolling.

In January 2015 contracts were signed with menus and drinks discussed. We were then introduced to Emma Fettke who arranged the whole event.

The day of the wedding every thing was in place and was the making of a very memorable day for us both.

The professionalism of all the staff at InterContinental Adelaide is to be commended, in particular the assistance and organisational skills of Emma and our butler Agnes is to have special mention. Nothing was  too much to do for them and made the day so special.We would not hesitate to recommend the service to others, well done.

If I was allowed two observations I would ask that the wine glassware be raised to five star status in keeping with the hotel status, and secondly we found the air-conditioning/machinery noise to be a little louder than expected, otherwise the experience/occasion was fantastic, thank-you very much.

I hope that you’ve been well.

I just wanted to send an email to say thank you for all your assistance and support throughout the 2015 National Conference.

Yourself and the team were wonderful in the lead up to the event and we were so happy with how versed you were with regards to our group once we met you onsite.

Although the hotel was extremely busy with all of those crazy cricket fans, our guests were still very well looked after.

Such a wonderful and memorable experience

I am writing to you to express my sincere gratitude and thanks for the wonderful and beautiful staff who assisted us in our wedding arrangements for our son and daughter in law on Saturday 6th December 2014.

From the very first moment we met Christine Rentis it was an absolute pleasure and delight to deal with her as she made our experience a wonderful and memorable experience.

Christine then introduced us to Sarah Halliday (as she had been promoted to another role) who took over the wedding function and again it was an absolute pleasure and delight to deal with Sarah as she continued in the same manner as Christine.

At the food tasting we were also introduced to Zac Soliman (banquets manager) who looked after us during the tasting and subsequently at the wedding.

On the day of the wedding I was extremely impressed with the level of professionalism, courtesy and willingness to assist wherever necessary to ensure that all went well for the function.

The function went off extremely well with all of your staff working professionally and efficiently with a pleasant smile.

The food and service was excellent and my wife and I would like to personally thank Christine, Sarah, Zak and all of the wonderful staff who made the event such a wonderful and memorable experience.

I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending the Intercontinental Hotel to other people in order to arrange for any function.

I thoroughly enjoyed my night, and the staff that were involved were very thoughtful, caring and accommodating

I’m writing to you to express how overly pleased I was with the service that I was given at and prior to my 21st birthday dinner and after dinner cocktails held on the 16th August 2014.

Firstly, I would like to thank Michael Chapman, who assisted me months before the event with restaurant queries, many emails were exchanged. Two weeks before the event, I visited the hotel to pay the dinner deposit and to sort out final arrangements. I was greeted by very friendly staff in the restaurant who directed me to Michael. Michael then proceeded to go through the seating arrangements for the night and educated me more on the restaurant itself. He then accompanied me to the reception desk where I was introduced to Morgan Stephenson. Morgan was very helpful to set up my deposit to be paid and to assist with any additional queries I had about the evening. At any time that I came across any issue in the two weeks leading up to my event, I called Morgan and he would get back to me with a desirable solution within that day.

On the night, I was greeted with big smiles at the reception desk. I was pleased that I was able to check in early, as per a prior arrangement with Morgan, and to my surprise, I was also upgraded to a Riverview Room on the 18th floor. The staff expressed their excitement for the night and couldn’t wait to see myself and my guest arrive in our formal attire.

Upon arrival to my room, there was a knock at the door. One of the staff came to deliver a bottle of wine and a very lovely letter from Morgan. This made me feel comfortable and welcomed to the hotel, and made me feel like I was really valued.

When I arrived at the Riverside Restaurant, I met with Hayley Norman, who had already started greeting and seating my guests. Hayley was very patient with the seating arrangements. Throughout the dining experience, she was very helpful, and continued to check up on myself and my guests that all was going well, which I appreciated greatly. The food on the night was delicious and everyone was pleased with the table service.

After dinner, my guests and I moved over to the Atrium lounge for after dinner cocktails. The lower area had been reserved for my party, and the seats arranged accordingly. Claude Mariquit was Bar Supervisor on the night and was attentive. Claude also helped to organise the food platters for the night. He introduced me to Kiren Vythilingam who was very caring. Throughout the duration of the night, he spoke to me to check everything was going as planned, and to ensure that I was being looked after.

Finally, I would just like to say that I thoroughly enjoyed my night, and the staff that were involved were very thoughtful, caring and accommodating. I would like to particularly express my gratitude to Morgan. I truly believe that Morgan’s exceptional customer service, genuine care and, calming and reassuring smile was what made my special night stress free and enjoyable.

Hello Sarah and Jacki,

Thank you so much for your cooperation, suggestions and advice in all my preparations for Richard’s 80th party. I cannot sing the praises of the InterContinental and your event management enough, and you yourselves have both been most helpful, courteous and professional.

I would like you to compliment the Chef who provided our afternoon tea, Kelsie, Agnes, all your ‘non-singing’ waiting staff, and special thanks to all for cooperating with The Three Waiters whose performance was the highlight of the afternoon. (For those staff lucky enough to be there I hope it was fun to see and hear.)

All in all I could not have asked for a better outcome on the day. Richard was absolutely thrilled, as were our guests who have been expressing their appreciation in thank you emails today. I have no hesitation in recommending you and the beautiful Blake’s Room for future events.

Just a brief note to say thank you for your over and above efforts to get our Annual Conference over the line.  Not only did it appear seamless from to our participants, but the high quality of food, accommodation and service was certainly commented on by everyone across the board.

In particular, Christine, Alicia, Cameron, Zac, Van, Agnes and all their staff that we met on the Wednesday. Everytime I needed to call on one of them for assistance, the response was immediate and extremely professional.  The front of house staff were exceptional in being able to process such a large number so seamlessly.  WELL DONE TO EVERYONE! Our event held in the Banksia room yesterday went off without a hitch.

I just wanted to touch base with you to pass along a big ‘thank you’ to you and your fellow colleagues.  Our event  held in the Banksia room yesterday went off without a hitch.  Zack and his staff who worked the actual function were very professional, courteous and extremely accommodating to what we required on the day.  There were comments made to me at the end of the day as to how quiet and efficient the staff were while serving food or collecting plates after the meal, which allowed the speaker(s) to continue without interruption.  Compliments need to also be passed along to the chef for not only serving some amazingly tasty food but for being flexible with the serving times – we’ll blame that one on the guest speaker for being 20 minutes late!  A special ‘thank you’ to you Christine for making the planning of this event smooth sailing……….Keep doing what you’re doing – it works!

And to all other staff who assisted with our function on the day “thank you”. We’ll definitely be in touch with any future events!

Event planning has been nothing short of superb

Event planning has been nothing short of superb. We had several non-standard requests (non-alcoholic wines, Dabkeh dance, halal food, etc.) and the event planner was able to respond positively to all of them. My partner and I have been thrilled with the level of service provided.

Planning was clear & concise, and clarifications were given quickly when needed. Our “special requirements” were agreed to after some consultation with management.

We found the reception to run extremely smoothly, and the food was fantastic. The room was superb, and the breakfast the next day was great. We are thoroughly satisfied with the reception.

We would not hesitate to recommend the InterContinental for any event.

It all combined to give the most wonderful surrounding in which they were to celebrate their wedding.

I won’t forget the many gasps of wonder and delight from the guests when the doors finally opened to reveal the dramatic staging of the room. For 2 years now, they have carefully and specifically planned and imagined the room of their dreams. When they saw it in reality, it was everything they had hoped for.
