World Tennis Challenge

Game, Set and Match at InterContinental Adelaide for the World Tennis Challenge.

The World Tennis Challenge, a three-night exhibition tournament will take place from the 10th – 12th January 2017, as part of the official Emirates Australian Open Series.

Players will compete in preparation for the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the year!

Featuring both current stars and legends of the game, the World Tennis Challenge is one of Australia’s most innovative exhibition tennis events and attracts over 14,000 spectators each year.

Twelve world-class players will star at this summer’s World Tennis Challenge across three teams. The three teams have been named after South Australia’s state colours. Teams will rotate across the three nights with play set to kick start with men’s doubles before men’s singles and men’s legends matches.

Former world No.8 Mark Philippoussis and ATP World Tour Finals doubles champions John Peers and Finland’s Henri Kontinen join world No.13 Nick Kyrgios for Team Gold.

World No.31 Sam Querrey and former world No.17 and two-time Australian Open men’s doubles champion Fabrice Santoro are set to join one of the most successful doubles pairings in history, Bob and Mike Bryan for Team Red.

While Canada’s Daniel Nestor and France’s Edouard Roger-Vasselin will pair up to join top 10 player Tomas Berdych and Croatian Grand Slam champion Goran Ivanisevic for Team Blue.
