InterContinental Adelaide wins SA and National AHA Awards wins Best Marketed Hotel – Accommodation Division
This year InterContinental Adelaide was proud to accept the local South Australian AHA Award for Best Marketed Hotel in the accommodation division and then on the 15th September we were lucky enough to win the national AHA award for the best marketed hotel out of all Australia!
The entry covered our marketing activity over the Easter period, which is normally a period of low demand.
Over recent times the InterContinental has done extensive analysis to determine shortfalls and opportunities in their marketing. The rediscover/discover Adelaide concept, which aligns closely with the hotel’s brand and the idea that team members are ‘in the know’ about their city’s best kept secrets. They focus on their local PR and Social Media strategies alongside the national digital marketing. The focus on family friendly offerings has had terrific results.
Congratulations to all the other South Australian AHA National Award winners including the National Wine Centre for best tourism initiative, the Republic in Norwood for best outdoor/non enclosed facility, the Arkaba Hotel for best sporting entertainment venue, The Lakes Resort Hotel for best environment and energy efficiency practice and last but not least a big congratulations to Peter Hurley for being inducted into the Johnnie Walker hall of Fame.
