Join us on a Culinary journey with our Culinary Ambassadors in Riverside Restaurant

Be taken on a culinary journey from the 17th August with our special two or three-course menu from our Culinary Ambassador available in Riverside Restaurant featuring recommended cocktails and wines to match your dining experience.

Keep on the look out as the menu changes every two weeks. Each menu represents the chef’s individual culinary journey and when you enjoy the three-course option from the special culinary ambassador menu you can enjoy a complimentary glass of Penfolds wine!

Our IHG Culinary Ambassadors each have their own specialty and their menus will revolve around that cuisine to set your taste buds on a true journey around the world.

DEAN BRETTSCHNEIDER
The Global Baker joins our own kitchen team Dean Brettschneider is a professional baker and patissier with an international following. He is the award-winning author of twelve cookbooks & multiple TV shows. Dean is the founder of the successful artisan-style Baker & Cook in Singapore. For one week, Dean joins our own kitchen team who will cook their favourite dishes complemented perfectly by Dean’s fabulous breads and DEAN desserts.

IAN KITTICHAI
From grocer’s son to world class chef As a youngster, Chef Ian used to help his mother buy produce for her shop but he had never planned to be a chef. His culinary journey began almost accidentally, working part-time at a 5-star hotel in London. He quickly realised his passion for cooking Thai cuisine and has since opened successful restaurants in New York, Barcelona and his home town, Bangkok. His trademark red shoes
have become a regular feature on TV’s Iron Chef Thailand.

ROSS LUSTED
Sydney’s Chef of the Year Ross is well known for his style of Modern Australian cuisine. Ross’s culinary journey began as a child on his parent’s farm. He perfected his art in award winning restaurants such as Rockpool, Sydney’s Harbour Kitchen & Bar and Singapore’s Mezza9. His first restaurant – The Bridge Room – opened to rave reviews and he was recently voted ʻChef of the Year’ by the Sydney Morning Herald.

SAM LEONG
Singapore’s favourite culinary son Singapore TV’s ʻKing of the Kitchens’ is Sam Leong; cookbook author and TV star. Sam’s culinary journey began in the kitchen with his father who taught him Chinese Singaporean cuisine. Sam has had the honour of cooking for world luminaries including royal families, presidents and prime ministers. Chef Sam’s’ greatest pleasure is working at his own restaurant Forest, named after his wife, in his hometown, Singapore.

TAKAGI KAZUO
The master of Japanese cuisine Celebrity chef Takagi Kazuo is a multiple Michelin-star winning master of Japanese cuisine. Takagi comes from a culinary family: his mother was a culinary school instructor and became his mentor in Kyoto cuisine. Chef Takagi’s ambition was clear to him from an early age; he knew he wanted to be a chef from the age of three! Chef Takagi has a deep respect and love for Japanese culinary traditions and hopes to bring a greater understanding of them to a wider audience.

THEO RANDALL
Rustic cuisine inspired by childhood visits to Italy Theo Randall is a celebrity chef based at the InterContinental Hotel Park Lane in London; voted the ʻBest Italian Restaurantʼ in London. Theo’s love for Italian
food came from his visits as a child to Italy. Theo wants to make Italian food an everyday experience for everyone. He’s created dishes that Italians love; both traditional trattoria-style and new ones shaped by his personal culinary journeys in Italy.

VIKAS KHANNA
World–leading Indian chef and humanitarian Vikas Khanna is an award winning Indian chef, food writer and humanitarian. His culinary journey started in Amritsar, India where he learned the intricacies of Indian cuisine from his grandmother. His extensive TV appearances include the Martha Stewart Show and he is host of MasterChef India. His New York restaurant, Junoon was awarded a Michelin star and he was also voted ʻNew York’s Hottest Chef’. Vikas leads a number of humanitarian causes and in recognition of this, he was invited to cook for President Obama.
